Hey Guys!

A year post the C**** JAB: My Experience.

A year post the C**** JAB: My Experience.

If you are a guy, you might want to log out of this one.

It has almost been a year today since I took my last C Jab and what a roller coaster it has been. In this post I will share with you why I got the jab in the first place, how I feel this jab affected my body.

Not many people have spoken about what they have experienced after taking the jab, so it would be interesting to see if anyone can relate.

This is written based on my own personal experience with the C jab and should not be taken as medical advice. Everything written down is my own views and personal opinion.

My monthly cycle has always been like clockwork, usually lasts for 4/5 days. I am very active when it comes to keeping fit and eating healthily. I am not on any contraceptives, I have always been blessed with manageable periods that have never impacted my quality of life until last year October…dun dun duuuuuuun

Why did I get the jab

Truth be told I never wanted to get the bloody jab in the first place. I was sceptical. The details were too unclear for me to make an informed decision on how this will affect me in the long run. Why was the media so focused on getting people to take this jab? These were some of the questions that wandered through my mind.

At this point, August 2021 I was already stressed and learned that my home would not be ready and might be delayed until Christmas (so I thought, but was ready a lot later then).

My brother had come down to visit me and he was adamant he was determined to get it. He had already booked an appointment. I simply followed him there and YOLO’d it saying to him we’re in this together.

In preparation for the jab, you are given all these papers to sign and documents to read. I honestly felt like I was signing my life away. I remember distinctly reading how the side effects of this jab would affect black women in particular, yet I still forged ahead like a dyamm fool.

I remember looking for information whilst in the waiting room thinking why has every trusted/reputable organisation going so hard for people to get this. No article seemed objective.

hmmm...Very sus.

I got the first jab in August and the second one around late October.

Hello, World!

Monthly cycle after the jab

My cycle came…and Lord have mercy; it was nothing that I have ever experienced before to the point I could not sit down for more than 15 minutes and not soak through my clothes. It was so traumatic that I was changing my sanitary towels every 45 minutes (and these were heavy duty).

I remember one time specifically where I could not continue work and had to leave immediately because my work pants were saturated. I called 111 and they were as helpful as a slap in the eye with a pogo stick.

The advice given to me was to go to A&E, if it gets worse -yeah helpful, I’m at crisis point.

My periods have been like I've been shot in the fanjita for the last year. I now understand women that suffer from really heavy periods and how dehabilitating it can be. Even if it lasts for 4 - 6 days, it will definitely impact your quality of life.

A year later, what now

Light at the end of the tunnel! At the time of writing this it was October 2022 and I noticed my cycle had become manageable. It seems as though my cycle is returning to what it used to be. I have delayed posting this until now (today) because I just wanted to be sure that my cycle wouldn't revert back.

I have also noticed PMS returning whereas I had lost these symptoms before after taking the jab (I don’t know if this is a good or a bad thing)

I wrote this for any body out there who has experienced something similar, because let's be honest the information is very limited.

Was it only me that experienced this? I would be keen to hear from others who have experienced something similar.

If you have had children after being double jabbed please let the people in the comments know or reach out privately.

Peace and love

Yas x
