Bougie on a Budget series: Fragrance Buyers Guide
Do you have a rich taste with no funds to match? Same.
Recent research suggests that the Londoner spends £6,500 on beauty per year. Let that sink in. We’ve got to do better.
Now, for those of you that love to smell expensive without the expensive cost. I have you covered.
The bougie on a budget series is going to be your guide to help you save some serious cash leading up to and after the Christmas season.
Here are a few ways that have helped me over the years to help me live my best life on a budget.
Fragrance Dupes 2019
(Pictures of the dupes will be below)
Aldi’s Pomegranate Luxury Eau De Toilette, £5.99
Smells like: Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Cologne, £88
Get it now!
Lidl Suddenly Madame Glamour, £3.99
Smells like: Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, £49
I prefer Lidl’s Version.
Aldi 5th Element Eau De Toilette, £6.99
Smells like: Chanel No5, £110
Bloody Close.
Aldi Feminine Eau De Toilette, £6.99
Smells like: Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, £113
The same expensive smell for a pittance.
Lidl Aura en Rose, £4.99
Smells like: Lancome La Vie Est Belle, £59
Assuming that you’ve smelt the lance fragrance you’d be silly not to try Lidl’s version
Avon Eve Truth, £14
Smells like: Marc Jacobs Daisy, £57
these fragrances feature notes of amber, gardenia, peony, and cedarwood for deep but feminine scent.
This has to be one of my favourite cheap perfumes.
Primark PS…LOVE Noir, £3.50
Smells like: Chanel Chance, £77
Try it for yourself! you will not be disappointed.
Zara Black Peony £9.99
Smells Like: Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb 30ml £53.00
So the world went absolutely crazy for the Flowerbomb perfume in 2017 and I was a believer of the hype, I obsessed over this perfume for the longest time and the whole world had to know it.
Primark % Me, £2
Smells like: Marc Jacobs Decadence, £49
Exact same smell in my opinion.
Superdrug’s Body Mist Sprays, £3.49
Smells like: Paco Rabanne Olympéa, £80, Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium, £92 and Mugler Alien, £91
The Exotic body mist has been compared to Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium and the Paradise scent is said to smell just like Paco Rabanne’s Olympéa. Each body mist is 100ml and costs just £3.49, so not only are the bottles much bigger than the perfumes, they are a lot cheaper too!
Zara Rose, £7.99
Smells like: Dior J’adore, £46.50
Nearly the same thing. Slight difference.
Next Cashmere, £8
Smells like: Estée Lauder Sensuous Nude, £37
Hard to tell these two scents apart.
