South Africa, Cape Town
Mother Land. Period.
This was my first trip to the Mother land. I have always dreamed of going.
I have heard many stories of how rich it is in culture and how beautiful it is.
Although Cape Town was not my first stop in South Africa, I warmed to Cape Town more as it had similarities to Sydney, Australia. The landscapes are stunning.
“We drove from Johannasburg to Cape Town”
After our long drive from Johannesburg to cape town (Yes i drove) it was so worth it. seeing the different levels of the horizon.
I saw Banana fields, Tangerine fields, Corn fields, Avocado fields. To witness all of this was beautiful.
We stayed in an Airbnb in Bakoven, Capetown which was luxurious for the price we paid. We had a view of the beach and the table mountains.
Yes! I did all the touristy stuff. The home of Nando’s and all the good chicken!
Over the years of traveling i can honestly say that i feel more at peace when i am around nature, mountains, water and tree’s. Being born and raised in London does not come with such luxuries. However, i am determined to do a blog series on places in the UK that can offer these tranquil feels.

Table Mountain
Around 600 million years old, and a canvas painted with the rich diversity of the Cape floral kingdom, Table Mountain is truly iconic.
Robben Island
Used as a prison from the early days of the VOC (Dutch East India Company) right up until 1996, this Unesco World Heritage site is preserved as a memorial to those (such as Nelson Mandela) who spent many years incarcerated (I did not get to go because the weather was a bit wild that day)
City Bus Tour
Do the city bus tour if you’re stapped for time. I was able to take in most of Cape Town history in a day! The wine tour is amazing!!
Please let me know your thoughts and experiences when you visited Cape Town. Is there anywhere else you would recommend?
