Winter in AMS
Cool, but collected. Calm but didn’t come to play. We came to slay and see all what Amsterdam has to offer.
Amsterdam is the Netherlands’ capital, known for its artistic heritage, elaborate canal system and narrow houses with gabled facades, legacies of the city’s 17th-century Golden Age. Its Museum District houses the Van Gogh Museum, works by Rembrandt and Vermeer at the Rijksmuseum, and modern art at the Stedelijk. Cycling is key to the city’s character, and there are numerous bike paths
When in DAM you must:
Amsterdam is a magical place. It is full of positive energy and good vibes
Get on yer bike
Amsterdam is a city of cyclists and there is no better way to discover the sights. It’s also incredibly quick to get around on two wheels, making Amsterdam’s already compact size infinitely easier to explore.
Soak up some art
Head to Museum Square in the Amsterdam South borough for more culture than you can shake a paintbrush at.
Eat like a local
Amsterdam, like any city worth its salt, has its fair share of fine dining places – but the must-try dish can be picked up at less high-flying establishments.
A canal cruise
In Amsterdam is practically a cliché, but water is such an intrinsic part of the city that you have to get on board.
You’ll be granted the best views of those 17th-century merchant and patrician houses, the innumerable bridges, historic churches and cute houseboats.
Go to the Bloemenmarkt
There's no charge to wander past the stalls of the city’s wonderful floating flower market, the Bloemenmarkt (daily 9am–5pm, some stalls close on Sun), which extends along the southern bank of the Singel.
Amsterdam gives me Sydney, Darling harbour feels. It is so visually appealing to the eye, perfect for a couple or a girls trip away. There is so much to do and see. I could definitely live here.
Please recommend me some places to check out the next time i visit!
